For over 30 years, Christine Mariotti has been a professional artist giving specialized instruction in the Arts. She began her career as an art instructor earning a bachelors and masters degree in art education. However, in 1982, she became the owner of Textile Resources, a mail-order dye and textile supply company. This led her to study dye techniques and products in the U.S. and abroad.  As part of her business she developed ways to use industrial dyes and products for the individual artist and began teaching people her methods. She soon became a leading consultant in dye application for surface design techniques for textiles.

She continues to give numerous workshops based on her techniques for original hand-painted fabrics. She is also regularly called upon to demonstrate these methods at various textile conferences and seminars around the country. Christine has taught at several colleges in the Southern California area where she instructed fashion design students in textiles and fashion illustration and portfolio preparation. She now resides in Tryon, North Carolina where she is continuing her career with emphasis on being a professional artist.
